Are you ready to be activated?
I am blessed to live in a very beautiful, abundant and safe part of the world. I have everything I need and more and yet some days I still wonder what the purpose of this existence is and why it feels so damn hard at times.
It's easy to forget who you truly are among the bombardment of messages from society and media. The television, the newspaper, social media and even our family and friends are there to remind us just how messed up this world is. And then just as quickly they distract us with someone else that makes us feel temporarily better. It's an emotional rollercoaster that lifts us high with excitement then plummets us screaming into the depths. Well where's the inspiration in this you might be wondering?
I came to realize that all the craziness in the world is happening whether I am a part of it or not. It's a much bigger picture that I don't fully understand. I am not an advocate for blissful ignorance, nor am I a believer in getting emotionally caught up in the stories (though I have at times for sure especially when it's a topic that triggers my own emotional hurts). But adding my low vibrational fear and emotional negativity to ANY story only fuels it more. The question remains though, how do we balance the human emotional reaction with the spiritual understanding of 'all is in divine order', with real on the ground action that we can realistically take?
I don't have ALL the answers but here are some things that have helped me immensely:
1. Finding my core - through my journey with Birth Into Being I have come to know this still and strong central place within myself. It is peaceful despite the whirlwind of chaos surrounding it. When I am lost in the distractions I must return to my core and remember who I truly am. It is a place that those with regular meditation practice come to know. It is that place a woman who finds her power during childbirth comes to know. It is a place that yogis and monks know well, and understand the importance of being in this place of higher vibration to send that frequency out into the world.
David Hawkins explains the different frequencies of various emotions in his book Power vs Force, and on his map of consciousness. The emotion of Love vibrates at 500Hz, Peace at 600Hz, whilst Anger comes in at 150Hz and Fear at 100Hz. Doreen Agostino writes, "when humans transform anger/revenge into heart intelligent courage for our collective good, best possible solutions are empowered to set us free.”
Finding and visiting my core, a place of love and peace, on a regular basis not only returns me to calm, but raises my vibration that transmits out into the world. I cannot be effective if I am in lower vibrational state as any emotion under 200Hz does not support life let alone help me create the changes I want to see. Imagine if we were all visiting the higher frequencies more often?
2. Learning from those who embody change - There are a gazillion 'teachers' out there all talking spiritual loveliness and divine order, finding your peace and living in gratitude and abundance. I totally say yes to all that but I also say - let's DO SOMETHING with it. Let's get inspired and do what we can as individuals, as communities to create the world we want to see. The important distinction to be made is that we need not just talk about it but actually bring it into being. Let us bring Heaven down to Earth and EMBODY our spiritualism and activism because just sitting comfortably behind a computer posting on facebook doesn't really cut it!

3. Remembering that I am not in this alone - that each one us came to this Earth at this time, for a reason. Know that it is common to have forgotten what that reason is, or to feel disconnected from that quiet core within, where the essence of your being resides. Don't fear, it is always there, you cannot lose it completely and there are tools available and people who can help you remember if simply quietening down and tuning in doesn't seem to work. Modalities such as EFT, EQT, Kinesiology, Birth Regression therapy and of course Birth Into Being, can help to recognize and dissolve limiting beliefs structures and patterns of emotional behaviour that keep you blocked from your inner knowing and peacefulness. If you're having trouble finding Inspiration or purpose in life, especially on those 'hard' days, I urge you to take a deep breath and go within. For sure there is turmoil outside in the world but it does not have to live within you and the energy you give to it determines so much.
